Toms, Blake Mycoskie

If you have never heard of the company Toms, formerly Toms Shoes, then you are behind in the times. Now simply known as Toms, this company which once sold solely shoes is now branching out into further fashion fronts. But it’s not all about selling fashionable frames; founder of Toms (Blake Mycoskie) continues to find new ways to give back to others less fortunate through new product launches of their own. Every single item sold through Toms has a double meaning; a double life if you will that reaches out to not only the customers but to individuals throughout the world who are in need.

Blake’s first effort of ‘One for One’, giving a free pair of shoes to children in need for every pair of shoes Toms sells, was a huge success. So, Blake thought long and hard about where he could further help others through the products his company sells. He clearly recognized that many other basic human needs were still not being met within the communities that his Shoe Campaign was helping. Without people knowing it, they could give back to others without even having to be present in the giving; they could simply shop online at Toms and for their purchases and would help people in need. Simple, yet brilliant. Continue reading

Crocs

Who would have thought that a shoe idea made up entirely of rubber foam could turn into worldwide phenomena? The idea for comfortable shoes that could be worn on a boat without the fear of being ruined by water or sand is where the idea for the CROCS brand blossomed from. From there, the rest is history. Born in Boulder, Colorado, CROCS started out humbly with a simple clog like design that came in a variety of colors but has since grown into 250 styles of footwear for men, women, and children. Known best for their light weight rubber design, Crocs has found a way to incorporate these functions into boots, sandals, dress shoes and more. The rubber design, named “Croslite” by Crocs, is a proprietary closed-cell resin. This compound is super soft; with a non-marking and odor-resistant quality to it that makes it ideal for footwear in any season or occasion. To date, more than 100 million pairs of CROCS have been sold. And every-time I buy mine I am sure to use my crocs coupon code. Below I reviewed 3 completely different styles that they offer.

Crocs Preston Golf Shoe

New to the mix this year, Crocs had dipped its hand into the golf market. This particular style named the Preston, is made of premium leather with classic styling. Part of the Hank Haney collection, this shoe is water resistant and offers great stability. Their multi-cleat spike less system offers great grip for all of the conditions the course can throw at you. It boasts one of the lightest weights when you compare it to other golf branded shoes, weighing in at just less than 10 oz. Continue reading

Wedding Shoes

My wedding was coming up fast. It felt like just yesterday my fiancé got down on his knee and proposed and now I’m just a few months away. I’m the type that likes to plan and find the best prices on items… especially for my own wedding. Wedding costs can be astronomical in my book. However, I also knew that I have a unique and different style than other people who do the typical cookie-cutter weddings. Call me crazy, but I think that combining the two can be done and I was set on getting the decision on the shoes for the whole wedding party as soon as I could.

As I’m sure people know, for weddings (especially ones where there’s a lot of dancing- of which mine is going to consist of) people like their feet to be comfortable. All of my bridesmaids wanted to be able to dance the night away in their shoes (if it was possible to find shoes that did not kill our feet after just standing in them for the ceremony). I wasn’t too sure where to even start looking or what I was looking for. Then, one day I was browsing online sites and needed to get a pair of Toms shoes for my grandmother. Yes, my grandmother wears Toms and loves them. She’s incredibly cute and they are actually perfect for her because she can just slip them on and doesn’t have to worry about laces at all! They are comfy for her and have some styles that she likes.  And I was sure to use a Toms Shoes Coupon while I was shopping to save the max amount! Continue reading

Horses need shoes, so do people!

If you have kids, you probably know that dressing kids feet can be a bit difficult at times. Sometimes they like to wear what they want to wear… which can differ from what you want them to wear. Perfect case-in-point are my nieces and nephews. Sometimes they want to wear rain boots on a sunny day, other times they want to wear sandals in winter. If it’s around the house, no big deal, but if it’s outside then caution clearly needs to be taken in terms of foot fashion for these little ones.

So when I was recently over my brother’s house and had to help with settling the kids down to get their shoes on, I told him about Toms. On the Toms website, they have two sections for kids- the Youth and Tiny sections, which contain shoes for all kids age ranges. He took a look at it the next day and decided to have the kids come over to the computer. The kids ran over and were incredibly excited to look through the site at all of the different colors and designs. Continue reading
